Toowoomba Summer Tunes program provides free, live music at popular parks in the Toowoomba region and is a great way to relax with friends and family. Concerts feature local musicians from a variety of music genres and can be enjoyed on weekends throughout January and February. Bring some snacks, a picnic blanket and a hat and settle in for some downtime!

It also provides a great opportunity to view the summer blooms in these parks

OAKEY: 3 FEBRUARY 10AM – 1PM Arthur Shooter Park, Stanley Street Slow Train Coming Think of a five-piece band with horns! Established last century, this band has performed over 600 live shows at venues across Southern Queensland. Their influences include rock, pop blues, jazz, soul and Memphis. They are a cover band that plays popular hits from the last four decades.

CECIL PLAINS: 10 FEBRUARY 10AM – 1.30PM Cecil Plains Homestead on the Condamine River Tux Greg Bird Entertainment and Promotions has brought together some of Toowoomba’s finest musicians to bring you entertainment ranging from swing jazz to popular rock. Featuring Bernard Boserio on piano, Camilo Lanzafami on bass, Mark Nuss on drums, Al Skerman on trumpet, Mal Gaydon on trombone, Paul Hendon on sax and Greg Bird as vocalist.

Featuring hits from the 60’s through to the 90’s, UnderCover’s motto is: “We keep the hits coming!” UnderCover consists of Martin Paroz on lead vocals and harmonies, Gayle Dixon on lead vocals and harmonies and Ian Dixon on drums.

WOMEN IN HARMONY SPARKLES FACE PANTING TOOWOOMBA MUNICIPAL BAND The 100-year-old-plus Toowoomba Municipal Brass Band plays music of all styles from the traditional to the modern, classic to rock and serious to comedy. JOHNNY JUMP UP “Johnny Jump Up” features Toowoomba’s own little piece of Ireland. Their music ranges from traditional to classic irish songs, with the odd reel or jig thrown into the mix, as well as tempo, foot tapping sing along irish folk songs. JIM MILLER BIG BAND The Jim Miller Big Band was founded by Jim (1926 – 2012) and now continues performing many of the tunes he loved from the Big Band era. Included are original arrangements of popular songs from Big Band Leaders such as Glen Miller, Duke Ellington and Count Basie. The band is composed of up to 16 musicians and includes both male and female vocalists. FLASHBACK Appealing to a wide audience, Flashback will perform a huge selection of songs spanning from Elvis to Jonny Cash, Credence to the Beatles, plus a sprinkling of country greats. You’ll be entertained by one of Toowoomba’s most popular bands. SAX PLUS Three sax players team up with a keyboardist and vocalists to deliver pop tunes along with big band, swing and Dixieland jazz standards. Swings from the 50’s to the 90’s with hits from Bill Haley, Billy Joel, Elvis Presley, ABBA, Elton John and Michael Jackson.
