Following the success of previous shows Australian Songbook, Sing the Seekers and Sing! the Beggars turn their hearts and voices to the emotional power of song and it’s mysterious ability to touch the listener, releasing recollections of love, family, joy and loss.

Sing from the Heart is the brand new show from internationally acclaimed vocal trio The Beggars.

Slim Dusty’s Rusty It’s Goodbye rubs shoulders with great story songs like Paul Kelly’s Deeper Water. Bye Bye Blackbird is there, along with Danny Boy and other sweet singalongs. Buddy Williams’ melancholy Camooweal will leave you misty eyed while the Beggars own compositions are lively and thought-provoking.

Renee Donaghey (vocal, guitar, ukulele), Quinton Dunne (vocal, double bass) and Stuart Day (vocal, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica) present Sing from the Heart in their relaxed, congenial style, weaving gorgeous three part vocal harmonies with acoustic textures that will transport the listener.

Add in encore performances from The Beggars previous shows and the cream of international songwriters like Paul Simon, Van Morrison and Neil Young and you have a performance that is funny, intimate and moving.

Stories and anecdotes add to the enjoyment, while images projected onstage set the scene, creating vivid and evocative atmospheres for each song.
