Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland 2022
The Christmas Wonderland in Toowoomba is ideal for the entire family. It will take place from December 3 to 24 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Botanic Gardens on Lindsay St. You can enter by gold coin donation or ‘Tap & Go’ payment at the entry points.
The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, The Toowoomba Hospice, Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland are all beneficiaries of Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland. All donations will be distributed equally to local organisations, including the primary beneficiaries.
Burstow’s Christmas Wonderland, Toowoomba’s favourite Christmas event, debuted in 2003. Don and Trevor Burstow wanted to put on a beautiful light show and serve supper with prizes for the kids. In 2007, the event became Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland after their Christmas lights display had become a Toowoomba tradition.
Don and Trevor Burstow officially handed over the responsibility of hosting Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland to the Lions Club of Toowoomba West in January 2008. The Lions Club of Toowoomba West has coordinated Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland display since 2008, raising funds for numerous local organisations.
In December 2021, over 66,000 people visited Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland. This year Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland offers a variety of entertainment each night.
